Scary times here in North County San Diego.

It’s not even fire season yet, but parts of America’s Finest City are blazing 🙁 luckily, however, there have been no reported causalities, which is simply amazing. This is me and D’s first experience with a fire crisis and it’s all been very frightening. We’re just thankful that everyone we know is safe and our hearts go out to those who had to evacuate. I cannot imagine losing a home like this . . . just makes one realize how much we have really messed up our planet. Have you been watching Showtime’s original series: “Years of Living Dangerously”? It’s on Sunday nights and is one heck of an eye opener. Some people in the news the past few days have said something to the extent of a conspiracy happening here in San Diego, because of these fires lighting up all on the same day. I think they are wrong. There’s been a HUGE heat way this past month and absolutely no rain.
“When you are kind to someone in trouble, you hope they’ll remember and be kind to someone else. And it’ll become like a wildfire.” – Whoopi Goldberg
Either way, though, I’m just thankful for our amazing first responders and hope all these fires are put out AND SOON!
