WOWZERS, y’all! What a complete difference an entire week makes!! Last week, I was an utter “Debbie Downer” while we patiently waited for all the water-damaged ceiling to be repaired thorough-out our house. You can read more about that ordeal by clicking here. This week, HOWEVER, I’m like a whole new woman!! It’s been progress, progress, PROGRESS for me and my ONE ROOM CHALLENGE!! For example, I took that tired, worn-out brick floor from this . . .
AND etched it with an acid wash on Friday and then sealed with a WET LOOK on Monday + Tuesday, which ultimately left me with a brand-new-looking floor!
Pretty gorgeous, right?! And YAS, thank you so much for noticing = I DID also change out all of the electrical outlets + light switches AND even hung that rainbow-tastic,Β Sazerac Stitches Chandelier thanks to the helpful hands of my friend/neighbor, Laura McKay . . . you see I naively thought I could hang that chandelier by all myself, on a tall ladder, with only these two hands no less π BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Which is such a CrAzY “Jenna” thing to-do! Goodness.
But then again, can you really blame me for impatiently trying to hang her myself?! I mean this beauty has had me weak in the knees ever since she arrived on our doorstep and I could NOT stand to see her sitting lonely on our dining room table any longer. She needed to be hung up where everyone could see her in all her CRAYOLA glory π now I’ve got two weeks remaining to prime/paint all the baseboards, windows + doors; not to mention staging πͺπ» WISH ME LUCK!!

LOVE that light!
Thank you so much, Angela! She’s definitely a SHOWSTOPPER π
Great job Jenna! The difference is beautiful already. Love the light fixture sculpture, and I can’t wait to see how you stage it.
Thank you, Gina! Just wait until I get done painting π it’s going to be FUN!!
