Awe, color.

My addiction with no help group needed šŸ˜‰

Yes, I’ll be the first one to admit, I’m a complete sucker for it. I see something in a bright, attractive hue and I feel this urge to instantaneously make it mine. Therefore, it’s no wonder why spray paint and I have been such lovers for years. Anytime I have a hankering for a little ā€œcolor meā€ project, it’s my usual go-to, because, well, it’s awesome and you can literally cover anything with it. And that brings me to my music stand. Ten years ago [geez], my little brother gave it to me for my high school graduation, the perfect gift for a soon-to-be music major, and we’ve been together ever since. It’s been my companion through countless hours of vocal practice and numerous moves. So, lately, during my many practice sessions on my little uku (The February Challege), I’ve been toying with the idea of bringing a little wow-ness to my sheet-music-holding contraption . . . but what color?

Oh, decisions, decisions.

To pay homage to my farming family upbringing, I selected nothing other than a tractor shade of green. It was actually called Medium Green [lame], but I didn’t really care, because as soon as I saw it on hardware store shelf, I thought immediately of my father’s favorite equipment brand. Now all I had to do was disassemble, paint, dry, reassemble, and TA-DAH!

Do know many musicians with a music stand like mine?
