For the past couple of years now, I have eagerly sat by and watched from the sidelines of the ONE ROOM CHALLENGE 🤩 daydreaming about all the possibilities for our own home . . . then after launching my own HOME RENOVATION SHOW on YouTube this past August, I decided it was finally TIME to throw my hat into the ONE ROOM CHALLENGE “Guest Participant” ring and WOWZERS! I am so gosh darn GLAD I did, y’all!! I had no idea IF I could renovate an entire space in a short six-weeks time. I have never pushed myself harder nor been more prouder of my own individual strength. Since I was doing ALL the work myself, there were multiple times I started to doubt “Jenna” but my CREATIVITY kept seeing me through . . . all the way to that STRESSFUL finish line!!
Yes, somehow within a six-week-long window, I was able to take our dark, uninviting, dingy ENTRYWAY space from, well, BLAH CITY 👎🏻 to a more bright, welcoming, rainbow-tastic room 🌈 something straight out of my technicolor daydreams! You can take a walk down my first ONE ROOM CHALLENGE‘s memory lane by clicking on any of the following weekly blog posts = WEEK 1 / WEEK 2 / WEEK 3 / WEEK 4 / WEEK 5 . . . there is honestly not one surface in this ENTRYWAY space that I have not touched! I painted the ceiling, the walls, the windows, the baseboards, and its doors. I etched that worn-out brick floor with an acid wash and sealed it with a wet look. I replaced all the electrical outlets, switches and even with my help of my neighbor, hung that beautiful chandelier!
In the words of Queen Bey and Nicki Minaj, I am DEFINITELY feeling myself [and this space] at the moment. ALL of the room’s BOLD COLORS were influenced by the Sazerac Stitches Chandelier I custom ordered for the ENTRYWAY space, which also in turn served as the inspiration behind the LAST NAME artwork I commissioned B.KASPR to create 🎨 the ENTRYWAY mirror was purchased a couple years ago with some store credit and the rug [which was one of four I ordered for the ENTRYWAY] was a completely last minute purchase and even more of a last minute decision Monday night [thank you to everyone who voted on IG!] I honestly could go on and on about all the work that went into this RENOVATED space, but instead, I am going to let these rad photos do the talking.
I hope you have thoroughly enjoyed these colorful “AFTER” pictures of our renovated ENTRYWAY space ❤️ THANK YOU to everyone who has followed along, commented and given me moral support along the way on my first-ever ONE ROOM CHALLENGE journey! It has been such FUN yet definitely CHALLENGING experience that I won’t soon forget 😅 and even though, I am unsure whether or not I’ll participate in the ONE ROOM CHALLENGE of October this year, I HIGHLY recommend participating! I learned so much about myself the last six weeks; knowledge earned and I am better for it!! I also cannot wait to check out everyone else’s renovated spaces! It’s going to be so awesome to see how each of all our individual hard work/designs/rooms turned out!

Jenna! It looks so beautiful and welcoming! And Rainbow-tastic! I voted for that rug, so I am so happy to see how it looks with everything else. Great job. Looking forward to more Room Bloom videos too.
Thank you so much, Gina! I am VERY pleased with its end results 😉 and yes, good eye on the rug!! It was just the best option once you got everything else within the space.
It looks so rad!! Can’t believe the transformation and love the rug you went with! And I’m of course partial to the R2-D2 pillow 😀
Thank you, Kali!! I knew you would love that throw pillow 😉 it’s vintage of course!
This is the happiest entry I have ever seen! I love the multi colored doors and that funky light fixture!
Yay, that was totally my goal, Mary 🙂 PURE HaPpY!!
Such a fun and colorful welcome to your home! Love it!
Thank you kindly, Angela! Now I’ve just gotta get the rest of the house there too 😉
