When your clients are as creative as you, it’s a beautiful thing.

Especially, when they trust you enough to let your design-freak-flag fly high . . . and solo!

Here’s a custom order I created this past fall.

Homebird-Upholstery-TWIG-hair-lounge-Front-Desk

See, my friend, Jen, is the owner of TWIG hair lounge in the Bressi Ranch area of Carlsbad – a retro-modern hair salon where I’ve gotten my hair done since, well, I moved to San Diego. I stumbled upon this little gem one day, three or so years ago, when I wandering around the Bressi Village and thought “I could use a hair cut.” It had been, at the time, oh, six months since my last trim. [I have trust issues in regards to my hair, but that’s another story for another day.] ANYWAY, when you walk into TWIG, it makes you happy [I can’t explain it but it does]. I was automatically attracted to the space, SO it’s no wonder Jen and I get along and WHY I leapt at the chance to draft up an idea to transform her front desk. I wanted my concept to incorporate both TWIG’s style and “green-loving” nature, AND I think I accomplished just that by selecting olive green, ostrich-textured vinyl and fabricating 158 wood buttons with my trusty jigsaw.

“All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make, the better.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

I absolutely LOVE walking into TWIG and seeing my work 😉 thanks again, Jen, for the wonderful opportunity!
