Hello, LLMers! I hope this blog post finds your rested and ready for the week ahead after a nice Labor Day πŸ™‚ Me and D spent the weekend prepping the house for my mother’s visit this Thursday, and since I have an ΓΌber short workweek ahead [two and a half days to be exact] I am eager to get back into the Homebird Upholstery studio to get some sh*t done, but not before I share with you my latest and greatest upholstery before and after. This chair comes from the La Jolla home of an artist and woman I just adore. See, her and her husband closed on this house right around the time we closed on ours and they acquired most of the furniture in the home through said sale. THUS, I have been helping them this entire year with their upholstery needs. Talk about a #girlcrush come true?!

This chair is by far one of the most challenging I’ve taken on as an upholstery artist; not only due to its very unique back but also because I’m a crazy person and hand-selected this candy-striped fabric for the project. Why do I do this to myself sometimes?! Lol. Honestly, the reason I did was because this artist loves color as much as I and I wanted to give her a piece that absolutely no one else had . . . even if aligning the stripes did give me tourettes πŸ˜‰

But in the end, I made that chair my b*tch and was able to deliver on my promise to a fellow #girlboss artist I admire [HUZZAH!] what do you think of the finished product? I’d love to read your feedback. Now off to upholster a storm I go! Ciao!
