Yoga has brought so many wonderful things into my life = including upholstery clients!

These two lovelies above are the tufted twins I finished last week for my yoga instructor, Monique. She is my second Homebird Upholstery customer from Peace Love & Yoga and is a true testament to what self-promotion can get you. When I started my practice, I had just enough guts to share with other yogis about my talents and it’s proving into work, which is about the best feeling in the world!

ANYWAY . . . what do you think of their new look?

My design came to be after my first visit to Monique’s home. There were these subtle pops of blue throughout the house AND a brand-new, black leather couch in the living room – the exact same space where these chairs would eventually reside. SO, I provided her with multiple [really beautiful] cobalt fabric swatches, proposed we do black leather trimmings, and refinish the wood in a high gloss black. I think they turned out pretty classy!

When I am able to see where a piece of furniture I’m going to work on lives, there’s something magical that happens for me creatively 😉 it’s an experience I welcome!
